A letter…1999

This past week-end as I was cleaning up, to my astonishment, I came across an unopened envelope adressed to me from my daughter, Alexsa. How a propos our #99 post is about this letter written in 1999.

The setting is a first grader having fun:

Dear Mom

You are the Best, that’s cool.  I have lots of cats thank you for the cats CDS.  I am happy now.  Let’s dace a praty.

I had a fun time today Thank you

Thank you my Love. Your letter is so precious to me.  My response to your letter.

Dear Lexa,

As your life continues to unfold may you continue to be blessed and showered with gifts.

Today Alexsa has excelled as a creative writer. Her stories are published in Creative Writing Magazine from 2000 until 2005. This morning, I enjoyed reading Orange Sunset by Alexsa Claude and I quote

“You can almost climb to the top of the hills & read a pleasant book…

One hill overlaps another so strongly, kingly

I would very much like to lie there and take a nap.”

We thank Joan Franklin Smutny, Director for the Center for Gifted for this lasting opportunity and her devotion to learning.

From an unopened letter to a post on thenicoleclaudeshowblog.  Today Alexsa is preparing for College, and I continue to receive her beautiful cards and letters. Bebe a grandi quel grand contentement!  Do you remember your 1999?
