Upon immigrating to the United States in 1974, I dreamt about this beautiful home that it’s worth sharing many years later, and you’re the chosen ones. This moment remains vivid as I go about my daily life. Are you ready to read along? I was inside this two-leveled brick house or chammote located near the sea of turquoise color, my favorite. I can recall the tall water waves would hit the white sand in front of my home to keep it moist and cool while its inside smell like baby fresh scent. The sky was clear and inviting. The sun, on the other hand, blasted over the desk where I now blog. It seemed like life stood still.
Moreover, in this dream, my desk faced the north side of my home just like today. I would be sitting in front of this framed and rectangular object to my dismay this thing is known today as a computer screen. It’s also equipped with Internet Access, Microsoft, Words and the likes, our new found household treasure worldwide. I remember that I would write to my aunts, cousins and closed friends who are still living in Haiti. In the letters, I would update them about my brand new life and lifestyled from la-bas or the U.S. in correspondence. Of course I would include a few English words that I would have learned on Sesame Street, Zoom or Electric Company. The trip to the mailbox was always excting as I passionately await for an answer , a la poste moment.
Are you having the chills yet? The house was surrounded by tall glass windows framed with sheer sky blue colored drapes which covered their entire surface. This home was comfy, spacious, beautiful most importantly nature oriented, a plus. The Nicole Claude’s house was perched on a hill. On a hill you may say! As a matter of fact as I walked up the hill to my house, I would pick up or ramasse tones of dollar bills like fresh currency, a deja vu moment. Both my hands were loaded with fresh green currency with an ever lasting money aroma.
…from a Dream to Reality today I blog and remain in correspondence, and as Clint Eastwood would say “A Fist Full of Dollars”. Moreover, I am an educator and founder for “Your Health-Wealth Care Management Plan”. This program is an opportunity to train and develop others form healthy to healthier you, and from a wealthy to a wealthier you lifestyle, apa li papa.
